This past weekend on March 24th, Modesto Junior College hosted its annual FFA Field Day, with almost 2300 members in attendance. From the Buhach Colony FFA Chapter, we had 30 representatives who competed in various different contests. The teams who competed were Small Engines, Best Informed Greenhand, Job Interview, Dairy Judging, Livestock Judging, and Farm Records. Throughout, the day each competitor did their best, as the strived to be an excellent agents from our FFA chapter. At the end of the day, several of our teams received awards and proved that Buhach Colony FFA can hold its weight against the other schools of our state. The livestock judging team ended up placing 5th high team, Gabby Samaniego from the Job Interview team placed 3rd high individual, and the Farm Records team placed 3rd high overall, Bailey Malone won 1st high individual, Morgan Malone got 7th high individual, and the team placed in the top five in all three sub categories. All of our teams had a great time competing at the competition and are looking forward to the ones to come.
